Time for some more photos! Had quite a lot of time off waiting to get onto twin engine planes so we took advatage with the Tutukaka road trip (prev photos) and a trip south to the mountain to take in the last of the winter's snow. One day on the North side at Whakapapa and one on the South at Turoa - an awesome 2 days of skiing. Then another 2-3 weeks off mainly working and finally onto the twin engine planes. Once we got onto the twins it moved fast, 2 weeks worth of beasting and we're through the first stage - the type rating (which allows us to fly the aircraft as pilot).. a solo to finish off the rating and then next step is all instrument flying - making it possible to navigate without looking at the ground, the way it works in an airline - through clouds, high level etc. 9 actual flights to go now and 19 simultor sessions.
