So it's been a while. With all of the eJ delays because of the lack of training captains and so on, I've ended up with about 4-5 months off. During that time it was back to doing bits and pieces back at home, trying to stay out of trouble and trying to earn a bit of money to keep me going and to be honest, there wasn't really much to take photos of! Did get a chance to head out to Antigua with Kaye to meet sis who's currently working out in Bahamas see below.. Finally we're back on track though. Start of December 16 of us did our induction day at easyland. In the next month there were 3 weeks of 'death by computer' (grounschool), followed by a few exams, and then (after christmas), into the simulator phase. 48 hours of simulator sessions later we were part qualified on the Airbus and ready to take control of the plane itself. 4 more days at the easyJet academy learning how to put out fires, slide out of the doors, and breathe life back into plastic dolls and finally 3 days ago we did the unthinkable! 8 of us took a brand new A319 out of Luton for the day. 50 landings at East Midlands, 16 tons of fuel and a rejected take off later 6 of us were fully qualified. My first passenger flight is in just over a week's time. It's been a long time coming! Some photos of the last few weeks...
